• Scoped the technical requirements for the HabiDATA platform by conducting a comparative analysis of over 15 existing AI models and data management tools (e.g., MegaDetector, SpeciesNet, CamTrap, YOLO, Agouti)
• Translated qualitative feedback from partner surveys into functional specifications and UI/UX principles for the application’s core annotation and analysis modules
• Engineered a modular desktop application to execute the data processing pipeline, creating a scalable tool for end-to-end management of camera trap workflows
• Built a Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) annotation module by wrapping the pre-trained MegaDetector model, automating the initial segregation of images (animal, human, vehicle) into a review queue for efficient expert validation and further species-level classification using SpeciesNet
